In Daniel Kötter’s contemplative documentary, we enter a landscape marked by war and violence and become immersed in the living realities of the people there. The conflict between Armenia and Azerbaijan over the control of the Nagorno-Karabakh region recently escalated. Daniel Kötter concentrates on the peripheral and the everyday lives of the local inhabitants and thus opens up a space of experience that defies simple attributions. (ara)
